Disaster Relief Training

Workshop for effective healthcare support in disaster & LMIC environments. An innovative & extensive training programme brought to your by the skilled Medaid team. This course aims to prepare the delegates for the disaster relief environment in order for them to respond safely, quickly, efficiently and on a long-term basis.

The programme is designed for up to 20 delegates and benefits clinical and nonclinical personnel; the programme has been adapted specifically for this purpose.

How will you be taught?

The programme spans four full days, three nights, with teaching comprised of:

  • Lectures
  • Discussion groups
  • Group work with presentations
  • Outside based high realism exercises
  • The setting up of a mobile surgical unit in a field location

About Medical Aid International

A globally recognised NGO Social Enterprise that has worked in the LMIC field for 20 years. MedAid consulted on and procured the bulk of the equipment for the UK Disaster Relief Hospital in 2013 and deployed to the Nepal Earthquake in 2015 with the UK team.
