Pre Hospital care is absolutely vital in LMIC’s due to the nature of the environments and the time it takes to get to help. Tim Beacon our CEO, has extensive experience in this area having worked in these environments for many years, being a civilian instructor on the UK Military Special Forces Medical Course and also a Primary Trauma Care instructor. Seeing so often the effects of poor first aid treatment, he was passionate about sharing his knowledge in order to improve this area of care. These videos are taken from our Biomedical Engineering programme and have been reported as extremely helpful to students who have taken the programme.

“These First Aid videos are truly superb. They abide by the well researched and validated maxim of KISS - Keeping It Short & Simple. They also use outstanding cartoon graphics which have also been shown in research performed in Orthopaedic Trauma to be the best way of getting across a message succinctly, well and pleasing all groups. These compliment the courses provided beyond First Aid of Advanced Trauma Life Support in High Income Countries and Primary Trauma Care in Low & Middle Income Countries.”
These videos have also been endorsed by former Army Doctor Nigel RossiterTrauma Orthopaedic Surgeon, Chair of Primary Trauma Care Foundation, Past President Orthopaedic Trauma Society, National Institute of Health & Care Excellence and National Institute Health Research panel member, previous Chair of Orthopaedic Trauma education UK & Ireland, medical adviser to Open Medical, G4 Alliance member.

One of the easiest ways we can make budgets go a long way is the sensible use of equipment no longer required in the west. This recycling is very effective. Please do contact us for further details if you think you have equipment of any sort that may help.
